The Big 3-0

Today we spent the day at Gallaghers for my b-day. We watched football and the Broncos gave me my birthday gift....killing the Raiders. Tommy even bought a new jersey with my day of birth on it....he is so sweet!

My sister Amy even drove all the way from PDX to give me a birthday hug! (p.s. Bre took better photos so I will post those when I can)

No, No Moose

One of my favorite things about the Woodwards visit- on day numero dos, Cal was saying "No, Moose" to everything....including Moose.

Pool Bums

While Cal was in town we spent one afternoon at the Hilton Squaw Peak's pool. We went in the lazy river, down water slides, played ball with Cal and sipped cocktails....it was my own little slice of heaven.

Cal is Coming!

Beth, Alan and Calen are coming tomorrow to visit for a long weekend.

Plans- feeding the ducks at the park near the house, Saturday market at the same park, pool at the Hilton Squaw Peak, visiting the old house in Mesa, breakfast at TC Eggintons, and hugs and lovies with CAL!!!

In the Frankenstein bag???- candy (Cal has a major sweet tooth), Nemo fruit snacks, Swedish toys from IKEA, and homemade popcorn balls. P.S. Frankenstein's bolts glow in the dark....SO cute!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

My mom and dad called me last night to tell me that they bought me a stove....they told me that I just had to go and pick it out. Ten minutes later when Pablo walked in the front door we were on our way to Sears. I think it took me about 5 minutes to pick out my stove (I have been eyeing them online since we moved into our house 2 years ago). Here she is....and she is a beauty!!!

Whirlpool....stainless steel....self cleaning....flat top...be still, my heart!!!

She arrives this Thursday...can't wait! First thing I am going to make???

Movies

Cam and I have been busy the past 2 weekends going to the movies.

We started with All About Steve. I saw the preview for the movie almost 6 months ago and laughed so loud that Pablo gave me the one elbow "shut up" move in the theatre. Well, all I can say is that if he had gone with me to the actual movie he would be giving his elbow a workout. I laughed so hard during the entire movie. It didn't get many great reviews, but I really liked it!

We also went to see Julie and Julia which is a take on the book The Julie and Julia Project. (Yes, this is the book I read 2 years ago and then tried to recreate with one of my family's favorite cookbooks. And yes, you can remind me that my project lasted only a few months.) This movie was cute. Meryll Streep (spelling???) is really good....she looks and sounds just like Julia Child....a little too much....kinda creepy.
