Go Chile Go!

Did you know that the World Cup is going on? Well if you didn't, it is. And Chile is in the World Cup this year. Chile has not been in the World Cup for 12 years....and they have not been in the World Cup and WON a game since 1962.

Pablo and I took the day off last Wednesday to wake up at 4am and watch Chile beat the snot off of Honduras. This morning we watched them play Switzerland and win. On Friday we will watch them beat Spain....you should watch too. Go Chile Go!!!

My college friend Marisha came to Phoenix over the weekend with her husband and oldest daughter. We had a wild time at Chili's....

The chili bucked Carlo into the bushes after this shot was taken. The majority of the weekend was spent watching her daughter's softball team play in a tournament.

Cute! They wore matching shirts. All in all it was a really fun time filled with softball, making fun of the "Electric Lemons", drinking beer, loosing bets (me that is), eating (always lots of eating) and catching up with close friends.

Ask and ye shall receive. I made a side note in a recent post about how I would like to receive more artwork from Cal. On Saturday I received a package in the mail with a note- "Aunt Mandy, Maybe you would get more artwork if you finished Cal's Electric Blue Baby Blanket! XOXO, Cal's Mommy"...touche!

I received 3 new masterpieces by Cal and each with a note from Cal's Mommy.

"This can no longer stay in my home...I like to think Cal's assignment was to create a collage of 'things that make me want to vomit'".

"'Cloudy Day'....just like Portland. My baby is so in tune with his surroundings."

And my personal favorite from Cal's Spring 2010 collection:

Miserable Man

A side post to "Happy Birthday Tommy"- Pablo and I took some self portraits the night we went out for Tommy's birthday celebration. For some reason Pablo always looks completely miserable when we take photos together. Here is the proof...This is the first photo we took. Then I made him take another one telling him to "look happy".
Yeah, not so much. I think I only have one photo in which he looks happy...isn't that sad?

Happy Birthday TMK!

We celebrated Tommy's birthday last weekend with dinner at Joe's Crab Shack and then off to one of TMK's favorite spots.

Tommy's waitress gave him crabs.

And they put up a fight.

Me as a crab. Then me trying to make cross eyes but for some reason my one eye always stays straight. I am a freak of nature, folks.
