Bre, Tommy and I got together last night to watch the Bronocs try and make it into the playoffs. Food and company were great, but sadly my Broncitos were killed. So here's to an okay, wishy-washy season....nice try guys! Hopefully next year we will do better!

    Denver

My mom and I went to Denver to celebrate my cousin Lauren graduating from CU Boulder.

I got some great shots of the campus. The buildings are old and with the snow it looked like a winter wonderland.

We stayed in the cutest hotel "Foot of the Mountain Motel" The second morning Lauren and I went on a walk....it was so beautiful...We also did some shopping....I love this store window with a Christmas Beetle....reminded me of my Gretchen...

One night we went to this cute wine bar and had flights of wine...

I always have such a good time with the Berquists. It was really nice to see my mom...it has been over 3 months since I saw her!I miss you already, Lorie France!

    OMG!

Okay. I just screamed and did a "happy dance" at work. Everyone is looking at me, but I don't care!!! LJC looked at my blog AND she commented about my 12/11 post about my sister's email correspondence with her! I know I sound a little crazy, but I just love her blog...she's kinda famous in my sister's and my world. It's like meeting a celebrity! :)

Totally understand that you cannot respond to everyone that emails or send comments to you, LJC! You are after all a very famous and busy woman! Thanks for taking the time to look at my blog....it means a lot! :)

    Holiday Time

Nothing says Christmas to me like the Nutcracker. Growing up, my mom used to take us to the show when we could afford it. When we baked Christmas cookies that was one of the cd's playing in the background.

Camille and I went to afternoon tea at the Biltmore and then to the Nutcracker.
Our view from the window was gorgeous!
Our first course was mini sandwiches...
Teas: I got "Southern Mint" and Cam got "Citrus Spice"...both were pretty darn good!
Second course was a cranberry glazed scone and then....the dessert course!
Then it was off to the show. Once we got downtown and parked, we were lost. Outside the parking garage was a rickshaw/bicycle. We asked for directions and he said "Just hop on....I won't charge you". So we were escorted to the show....
He was hilarious! He kept telling jokes and doing crazy turns or going in circles. Our hair was going crazy in the wind. I just HAD to get a shot of Cam's crazy hair on the ride...
The show was so good! The costumes and set were AMAZING! It was the best Nutcracker I have ever seen.

Our seats were so close that if one of the cast member sneezed, we would have felt it. Also our seats were off to the side so I got to watch the backstage goings on...I guess it pays to buy your tickets 3 months in advance! I think Cam and I will go again next year!

Your wreaths are really cute! Are the photos black and white? That is a great idea to keep them from overwhelming the holiday colors.

    Hi Jenny -

I've been reading your personal blog for more than 2.5 years now and enjoy your posts on Kodak.com as well. I recently hosted a Christmas Craft Party where friends and family gathered to make photo picture wreaths. I thought you might enjoy seeing the finished product, as you're crafty and because the project requires wallet-sized pictures, which I ordered (and encouraged others) from the Kodak Gallery! :) Many of my friends made these as gifts - and it's a fun way to capture pictures of your kids, pets and loved ones.

Anyway, thanks for sharing all of your fun ideas and life happenings. My sister and I enjoy reading them and have been inspired to blog ourselves. You rock!

    Happy Holidays!

    Christmas Party

Every year Pablo's work has their Christmas party at the Biltmore hotel. Last night was my 3rd year attending. Pablo forgot the camera on the kitchen counter so no photos of us! :( The hotel is always decorated so nice....they have a gingerbread contest and all of the houses are in the lobby. We had a really good time!

    Save the Sign!

Please check out my sister's blog today about the Made in Oregon sign in Portland (www.orwoodwards.blogspot.com). This sign is the cutest thing...they even put a red nose on the deer every December. The sign has been around since 1940 and they are trying to change it into a University of Oregon sign. Even if you have never been to Portland, help save the sign from becoming just another billboard by emailing your thoughts to Portland's historic landmark planners! Save the sign!

Things done over the 4 day weekend...

    • Bought my first cashmere sweater
    • Finished my Christmas wreath

    • Went to JoAnn's and bought Christmas decorations for the house...I also made a "Merry Christmas" for the fireplace!

    • Watched The Family Stone while the turkey baked

    • Went to my neighborhood park on Saturday. They have a farmer's market....I bought veggies, fruit and local honey. Max went with me and made a lot of friends.

    • Watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I just love James Taylor and he was in it this year!
    • My Aunt Karen came up for a day. We went shopping in Cave Creek and had a really nice lunch at Tonto's Bar and Grill (on the golf course, very pretty, and YUMMY food). She bought a rocking chair and I walked away with a mexican fireplace (chiminah?) and a cactus yard art piece. There was a TON of yard art at every store we went to....one looked like the Serta sheep to me...

    • Went with Cam and saw Australia...SO GOOD!
    • I am poor this year, so I made Christmas decor out of last year's cards that we got and some cute ribbon that I had.
