Nothing says Christmas to me like the Nutcracker. Growing up, my mom used to take us to the show when we could afford it. When we baked Christmas cookies that was one of the cd's playing in the background.
Camille and I went to afternoon tea at the Biltmore and then to the Nutcracker.
Camille and I went to afternoon tea at the Biltmore and then to the Nutcracker.
Our view from the window was gorgeous!
Our first course was mini sandwiches...
Teas: I got "Southern Mint" and Cam got "Citrus Spice"...both were pretty darn good!
Second course was a cranberry glazed scone and then....the dessert course!
Then it was off to the show. Once we got downtown and parked, we were lost. Outside the parking garage was a rickshaw/bicycle. We asked for directions and he said "Just hop on....I won't charge you". So we were escorted to the show....
He was hilarious! He kept telling jokes and doing crazy turns or going in circles. Our hair was going crazy in the wind. I just HAD to get a shot of Cam's crazy hair on the ride...
The show was so good! The costumes and set were AMAZING! It was the best Nutcracker I have ever seen.
Our seats were so close that if one of the cast member sneezed, we would have felt it. Also our seats were off to the side so I got to watch the backstage goings on...I guess it pays to buy your tickets 3 months in advance! I think Cam and I will go again next year!
