One of my co-workers told me that every time he sees my name, he is reminded of this cartoon that he watches...."The Exciting Adventures of the Grim Reaper"! One of the main character's is Mandy and I guess she is a bit of a bitch. Watch me in cartoon form on Cartoon Network!

Messages for Calen

My sister started a baby book for Calen shortly after she found out that she was pregnant. One section of the book is to list thoughts and wishes for Calen from family members. Here are my thoughts and wishes for Calen:

“He looks like his mommy but has some of the same facial expressions that his daddy makes.”

Purchases

So yesterday at Blissfest some purchases were made. I bought a cream bag that I fell in love with. Bre and I have always had similar taste, so no surprise that she loved the same bag but different color. I have a cream one and she bought this vivid purple color.One of my favorite things about the bag besides the size and many pockets is the inside fabric...it kind of goes with my bedroom sheets! Ha!We also decided to hit up the bead shop around 3pm and make necklaces. We didn't stop until the next day, but we walked away with some pretty cool pieces. Here is one of the necklaces that I made....

Blissful Saturday

Today I met Bre at her mom's house and the 3 of us went down to downtown Mesa for Blissfest. Blissfest was put on by Domestic Bliss, an AMAZING interior design store (http://www.domesticblissdesign.com/). Blissfest was a fund raiser for an Arizona family that was recently in a plane crash and are trying to recover. There were some amazing vendors there. Here are some shots of cute booths....This booth had the most amazing hair accessories. Floral headbands and clips....so cute!

They have some of the most amazing fabrics and had the cutest 40's aprons made out of these.

After Blissfest, we went to Rosa's....my famiy used to go to Rosa's all of the time when we grew up here. It is probably the best Mexican food that I have ever ate in America. Soooo good!
I wish I could go more, but it is all the way in Mesa. :(

Sick Day

Today I finally took a sick day. I have not been able to sleep for the entire week. I can't breathe and wake up in the middle of the night with runny nose all over me....god, I am so hot I cannot believe Pabs can keep his hands off of me!

I had a Netflix movie that I have been wanting to watch, so I made me a bowl of chicken noodle soup, rupped myself down with Vicks, wrapped myself up in my bathrobe and slippers and sat down to watch. Now, I can't remember where I heard of Broken English....probably another movie's preview....but it is good! I love Parker Posey and the actor in it is HOT...Melvil Poupaud! I think Melvil is just what the doctor ordered! :)

Candy Corn

One of my co-workers sells Gold Canyon candles. I have bought two: ginger lime and creme brulee. Both smell really good. To get in the Halloween "mood" I just bought a candy corn candle. It is so cute and smells really good. Every day this week when Pablo comes home he says "that candle smells so good". I have to agree...

Sick

My goal this fall/winter was to not get sick. It has started early people! I started feeling "sick" Saturday night and it has slowly gotten worse. One of my staff has been calling in sick, so I have toughed it out and have been coming into work.

Today there was a morning meeting that I had to attend with some "big" people there. I thought I could sneak in early, grab a seat in the back corner and lay low. Oh no! First my boss's boss couldn't tell who I was due to stupid glare from the windows so she made a big scene finding out who was in the corner and kept bringin up the "joke" and me being in the corner the ENTIRE meeting. I should also tell you that in today's series of my cold, it was lots of....shall I say "wet" sneezes and lots of nose blowing. NOT the best thing to happen in a small meeting of 30 people that you want to impress. Don't mind my snot hanging off of my face from that loud sneeze you just heard, let's continue to role play! Yeah! I cannot wait until this thing is over!!!

It's Here!

Starbucks has it's fall flavors here! I had a pumpkin spice, non-fat, 1 splenda latte today to help me get in the mood for fall! :)

Pabs and I went to see Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist today. It was really cute. I just love Michael Cera....he cracks my ass up. Even Pabs was laughing throughout the movie.

Girls Day Out

Cam and I decided to have a girly day today. We went to Delux, which I have been wanting to try for awhile. Their fries come in these cute little shopping carts! We tried the half sweet potato fries and half regular fries.

The burgers were pretty good. Cam really liked our waiter and from the flirting between the two of them, he was pretty fond of her too...

After lunch we went and saw "Nights in Rodanthe" the latest Nicholas Sparks movie with Diane Lane. It had both of us sobbing. I told Cam that Nicholas Sparks is evil. I think he just tries to come up with new ways to make women cry. Bastard...
