Max the Magnificent!

I have been trying to get the dogs into swimming. Pecas hates the water and gets all nervous...her doggy paddle is therefore very shaky. Max at first hated the water and would make a groaning noise as he paddled around. He is now more apt to get into the water if his tennis ball is bobbing in the water. He jumps in, groans his way over to the ball, dives his face into the water attempting to grab the ball, and then high tails it for the stairs out. I am hoping he will soon decide that swimming is not that bad and take to the water. I have given up hope for Pecas. She is a land dog.
