Cheers!

Yesterday Pabs and I went to Uncle Sam's to partake in their "Bailout" happy hour. We got a pitcher of beer and 2 appetizers for less than $10...my kind of deal!

Just Because

Pablo and I both got home from work early yesterday....a rarity. He ran to the grocery store to grab dinner and when he came home he had a bottle of wine that I like and a bunch of flowers. I asked him why he bought me flowers and he said, "Just because". He's so sweet!

Things done over the weekend

• helped Bre move....well I tried to, but we really just talked about where to hang pictures.


• went and saw "I Love You, Man"....hilarious!



• watched new HBO series "Ladies No. 1 Detective Agency" with Pabs


• bought a new couch!

Easter

I love Easter....it's my favorite holiday. I love dying eggs....the smell, the colors....love it. I loved waking up as a child and running to see what the bunny brought me. Searching for eggs all over the house. The fake grass in my basket. The chocolate Easter bunny....in my family we call it a cha-cha Eta bunny. (I think one of us couldn't pronounce it correctly so this name stuck.)

It has been awhile since I have dyed eggs....about 3 years. I loved doing it and now I love getting my lunch out at work and having a colorful egg to peel.

Jealous

My sister is in NYC and sent me a photo of cupcakes that she bought at Magnolia. I could really go for a red velvet cupcake right about now....

Hey, Wawen! I hope you have a fabulous birthday! Some of my favorite memories of Wawen are:

• playing Guess Who on a blanket in your front yard at the pink house
• going to watch your swim meets
• riding in the back of the Louise mobile and making faces at other people in their cars
• calling random names to people as they go down the alpine slide in Breckenridge
• Rustler's Roost...especially the last time you came to visit me with your mom. Anna Weeze got a little too excited while taking pictures.

Tug-O-War

Pecas and Max never played together with toys before Moose. For some reason, they both will play tug-o-war with Moose....strange.

Talk about a blind referee....Max isn't even paying attention!

The winner....you don't think she would actually let anyone else win...did you???

Discount Tire Day

Saturday was the yearly Discount Tire Family Day at Castle's and Coasters. Everyone usually wears the new Discount Tire shirt that they give out....entire families are clad in matching shirts. I think it's kind of cute, but when I told my friend Bre she did not think as much. This is the first year Pabs has got me a shirt, so we just had to match.

I also got him to ride the roller coaster with me....we usually just walk around and chat with his peeps. It was so cute. We were sitting on the coaster slowly making our ascent to the first peak and I look over and Pablo's face is white! I asked him "are you okay....are you scared?" The little guy looked at me and said "I'm afraid of heights. I don't like this." Cute! (Is it weird that I am still taking pleasure in his fright? The man rarely shows emotion!)

16.7 and still growing!

Moose had his first vet appointment with me on Wednesday. It was his first time leaving the house and his first time on a leash. He did very well and made many new friends. The ladies that clipped his nails at the groomers were all up in his business trying to get kisses from him....he lapped that up. Then the nurses and vet were all over him....they got some kisses too. He weighed in at 16.7 lbs....so he has gained 6.3 lbs in 3 weeks. Watch out! He is going to be a big 'in!

Tennis Tournament

Pablo and his friend Paul were in a doubles tennis tournament last Saturday. They played 2 different teams and won both matches. It was quite an upset. The "regulars" at the club were all watching and routing for the opposite team. All I heard about the entire game was how good "Russ Green" (one of the "regulars") and his partner "Russell" are...yes they had the same name. Everybody kept questioning whether or not Pablo and Paul were even members of the club. I was so glad that Pablo and Paul killed both teams. Their picture is now hanging in the clubhouse until next year! Pablo keeps trying to get me to join the club so we can play tennis and workout together, but I don't think I am snotty enough. They would definetly not let me in to workout with my old college t-shirts...

P.S. my camera is so slow that I couldn't get any decent shots...I REALLY need to get a new camera!

Workout 2

Last night I created a new playlist for my workouts- Workout 2. I downloaded some new tunes to get my buns running. Yes, most are extremely mainstream and can be found on most 13 year old's ipod's but if it gets me running then I will listen to it!
