Peonies

My favorite flowers are peonies...they are actually more like a bush. I was given 2 bushes of peonies from an ex-boyfriend and when I moved to Phoenix, I gave them to my mom to plant. Look at how pretty they are! I definetly did not get my mom's green thumb! :)

Pain

This past Saturday I went with a friend from work to a "Saturday Seminar" at our gym. They had us doing different intervals of machines and resistance. It felt really good at the time, but then the next day I was hurting. I tried laying out on Sunday....my sister called me right when I was getting in the pool and I slipped and fell into the water. Thankfully the phone stayed above water. The rest of the day I could barely walk. Monday I woke up and was still in pain. Pabs told me that I have to keep moving, so I went to the gym that morning and ran 2 miles....felt okay while running. Later that day at work, people kept asking me if I was okay....this is after they saw me walking....it is more like a waddle. Today I am still in pain and waddling. I have an appointment on Thursday with my personal trainer. I am hoping that I have recovered by then and she can kick my ass so hard I will be waddling through the weekend. P.S. I am still planning on going back this Saturday for Seminar part Deux. What can I say? I am a sucker for pain.

Dirty Drummer for Happy Hour

Today I am off to the Dirty Drummer for Happy Hour and $2 hamburgers with work friends. I came into the office at 6:15 this morning and our phones and internet were down for 2 hours. Needless to say, I am ready for my cocktail and my burger....

The Dark Knight

Pablo and I went to see The Dark Knight today. We got to the theatre 20 minutes before the movie started. It was completely full....we had to sit three rows up from the front. I thought we had played it safe by going on Sunday, but it was still packed.

Now, I am not a big Batman fan. I see the previews for them and say "Another one...how many can they have?" But it was good. It wasn't all cartoony like the older Batman movies. It was scary and dark. Really good! I recommend that everyone go and see it!

Sprinkles in PHX

I have always wanted to try Sprinkles cupcakes. We finally got one in Phoenix, so after a day of shopping my friend Cam and I grabbed some cupcakes. They were good! I even got two doggie cupcakes. Max and Pecas love Sprinkles too!

I really have been wanting to get some reusable bags to use for groceries. I heard most of them are around a dollar per bag. Not bad. But then I saw these on www.amazon.com . Way more than a dollar per bag, but they are so cute.

PDX

I went home to Portland to visit family and for my nephew Calen's baptism. While we were there we went to some wineries and tasted some really good wine! Here are some of the shots from the Wine Tasting Tour De Ricardo French...

We spent the rest of the weekend drinking Richard's wine that he bought and noshing on cheese and crackers....

Team Builder

Today for a team builder at work, we had pizza and made picture frames for our desk. I am planning on putting a photo of me and Pabs in my frame. I chose this really cool Bohemian type print and the tags say "Soulmates", "Memories", and "Two of a Kind". I really like how it turned out!

Monsoons

Monsoons have seemed to come early this year in AZ. We usually get the storms in August. Last night it rained really hard...filled up our pool to the brim! There was also lightning. Pecas is usually scared of everything, but she is just like her mom and she loves her storms. Pabs and I are cooking dinner and we both look outside....Pecas is sitting in the rain watching the lightning! :)

Yugster Surprise

Well, I finally recieved my Yugster surprise box. Can't say what is in it....Christmas gifts, so don't want to ruin someone's stocking stuffer surprise. Pretty good stuff for only 10 bucks.

Berts Saves My As$...

I had a little too much fun in the sun on Saturday. 5 hours in the sun and I thought my spray sunscreen was working, but clearly it was only spraying air. My back side is lobster red. I found Berts Bees After Sun Soother and it has turned my burn into a nice tan! Thanks Berts!
