Ben is having a pirate party for his first birthday. I volunteered to make a welcome sign, a banner, and some other decor for around the tables. I am so pleased with how they turned out. I can't wait to hang the banner up at the party....

Last Day at the Beach

Our last day at the beach included one more trip down to the beach. We found a new spot where there was a small stream heading into the ocean. Cal pretended to surf-

Ben walked through the water and kept trying to sit in the stream- he finally got his way.

I think we are all sad to say this is the end of our beach getaway....

Beach House Weekend

So for a long weekend we rented a house on the Oregon coast. The house was AMAZING. Days were filled with local art shows, digging in the sand with plastic shovels and grilled cheese. Nights were bon fires with wine, smores, and cuddling. It was a great trip!

Wine Tour Towards the Coast

I am in Portland for 2 1/2 weeks! This weekend we are heading to the coast for my big sister Amy's 40th bday celebration. On our trip we stopped at 2 wineries to help keep them in business.

Rex Hill had this really cool "Essence Table" with all of the notes that are in wine; you can go around and smell certain ones that are noted in the wine tastings that they have. We bought my dad a poster of it for him to frame and hang in the house.

And then after we had much wine we stopped off at the casino to donate some cash to their cause.

Girls Weekend

This weekend a group of my girlfriends and I went to have a staycation at the Hilton Squaw Peak in Phoenix. We mostly layed around the lazy river sipping cocktails....which was much needed.
