Ben's Baptism

Today was Ben's baptism....and I am the fairy godmother. My mom was in charge of photos with my camera so this is all I got....
Ben was asleep when they sprinkled him with the holy water (still upset that I did not get to do any sprinkling of any kind....whatever.) He was startled when the water hit him and let out a cry and then in true Ben form decided to not sweat it and was happy. I think he has learned this from me, the fairy godmother.
He then got a tour of the church and had a lot of old people touch him. Again, I did not get to give him the tour. I guess these people don't understand my roll as the fairy godmother...

WA Wine

Today my Mom, Dad, Anna Weeze and I went wine tasting in Washington, about 20 minutes from where my parents live.

The vineyard is Bethany Vineyards and let me tell you it was good! We got to try about 10 different wines and there was no tasting fee. We even got to try a red wine in a mini chocolate cup.After the tasting we sat near the lake on their stone wall and had a picnic. It was a beautiful day and the vineyard is amazing!
Being the winos that we are- Richard joined their club and bought a box of wine so we could have some with our dinner that night. Unfortunately they don't sell in AZ otherwise I would be searching for a store here to get their wine.

Home for the Weekend

This weekend I am home in PDX area for Bennigan's baptism. I am the fairy godmother....I'm kinda a big deal. We got together at the French house for some food, hot tub and wine...that's how we roll....Love Cal's little striped pajamas....

Arcadia Farms

Cam took me to a new restaurant- Arcadia Farms. It is decorated so cute....there are different little houses that you sit in and it is decorated with a french farm feel. Plus, the food is really good! I had a spinach mushroom quiche that was yummy!

Wedding Cheesecake

Today I ordered our cheesecakes for our wedding. Pablo does not like cake, so in lieu of a wedding cake we are having 6 different cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Factory. Here are the flavors that I ordered: white chocolate raspberry truffle, key lime, dulce de leche, vanilla bean, Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, and red velvet.

Golden Girl...or more like a femal Bob Barker

In order to look good on my big day I decided to do a spray tan at a local salon/spa. Pablo drove me to the spa and waited in the car. It is my first time doing this, and the bronzed girl that showed me back to the room gave me about a 5 second demo of the poses I was to do while in the machine, told me if I forget then just look at the photos on the wall and then she ran out the door. Well people, I am legally blind without my glasses. So I quickly reviewed the charts another time to try and memorize the poses before I stripped down and hopped into the machine. I am pretty sure I did one of the 4 poses twice, but that is another story. I finish up, put my clothes back on and head out to the car. Pablo looks me over and goes "is that it?"- somewhat surprised at my lack of color. I then tell him what bronze girl told me, "it is supposed to darken over time" (said somewhat smuggly). So we start driving around town knocking things off our wedding to do list. A little bit later that morning, Pablo looks over at me in the car and jerks his head back in shock/surprise. I then start screaming "WHAT? DO I LOOK LIKE BOB BARKER???" while pulling down the visor/mirror on the passenger side. Folks- I was orange in the face. I think in turning and completing the 4 poses, you are only to have your face towards the machine 1 time- me? I faced it 3 times. Needless to say, I have been scrubbing my face a little harder when I wash it each day...
