Empty House

Today everyone is now gone from the shower visit. I came home from work to an empty house. It was sad. I miss my family so much throughout the year but for some reason it is the hardest right after I get to see them. I will be counting the days until January when they will be back to visit...

"I'm Getting Married!!!" Not Today

Today was my wedding shower. I woke up shouting "I'm getting married!" to which everyone replied "not today". Whatever. They just don't get it. Today made it feel real. I am getting married. Woah. I don't think Pablo know what he signed up for.

Bre and my sister Beth threw my shower for me and it was amazing. It was an Alice in Wonderland tea party theme. Here are some shots of the tables:

Women's Half Marathon

Today I did the Women's Half Marathon- my first ever. I have signed up for them in the past and then have flaked out on actually doing them. This marathon was pretty cool- all women. I only saw 2 guys the entire time. I didn't do as well as I had hoped to, but I also didn't prepare at all for this. I hadn't been to the gym in over a month and just thought I would make it 2-3 miles. I am so proud of myself for following through and finishing....it wasn't easy. But I don't think it would mean as much to me as it does if it had been easy. I completed it with my aunt and some work friends. My aunt and I are already talking about doing another 1/2 in the spring.

Anna Weeze has arrived...

Anna Weeze arrived today. She has come to do the Women's Half Marathon with me and hang out by my pool.

Caged

My birdcage veil arrived today. I ordered it off of etsy from "Vladana" and it took the girl 2 weeks to make it. It looks really good with small little pearls within the lace. I just need to figure out how to wear my hair and if I want to add a flower or some feathers to one side.

Lanterns have arrived!

I am slowly getting everything together for our wedding in January. I ordered some chinese lanterns to be hung at the reception area and they were on back order for over 3 months. They just arrived in the mail today. As each new thing comes, it makes it more and more real that I am getting married....scary! :)
