Doggies Christmas

Every year our dogs get a little present for Christmas. This year their stockings were filled with bones from Santa. Much fighting ensues when they get bones, so it is quite a treat.

Here is a shot of our tree on Christmas morning. Santa brought Pablo a bike and he is in love with it. Christmas day we went on a really nice bike ride down to the golf course that we are getting married at.

Wedding Feet

My shoes for the wedding came in about a month ago; me and my bridesmaids are wearing green shoes. I have been thinking about how to get "something blue" into my wedding day attire and decided to do a peacock blue for my toes since that will go with the shoes. Today I found the perfect blue to go with my shoes and am so excited to try it out- OPI Yodel Me On My Cell.

This weekend Pablo's store came over for a Christmas Party. This is the 2nd year that we have done this for this particular store. Each year his boss gives out bonuses to the group at the party. Last year he bought Pablo and I a lawn mower for our new backyard. This year he blew Pablo and I away with a new computer. It is beautiful....

Wedding Project

Today I finished a wedding project....fabric squares for the tables/centerpieces. Bre and I cut fabric into 12 x 12 squares. I then used fabric glue and added a ribbon to the edges. These will be on the center of each table with the flowers and another little project/item (still need to work on that one). I am really happy with how they turned out.

It's Beginning to Look alot Like Christmas

I decorated the house today for Christmas....haven't really been in the holiday spirit, but Pablo's upcoming holiday party kind of forced me into it. 2 of my latest holiday items that I am excited about-

Given to me by my boss last year; it really is an ornament but I am using it as a card holder this year.

An ornament that my mom had made for me on a recent trip she took. It is a "wedding heart"...cute! :)

Holiday Party

Today was my work holiday party at Dave and Busters. I must admit that I was not looking forward to it- growing up in the French household we had no video games and to this day I SUCK at most video games. I thought Dave and Busters was all video games, but found out today that it really is like Vegas but instead of winning money you win tickets. I mostly spent the day with my friend Kendra and if you were anywhere near Tempe Marketplace you may have heard our screams of delight. We took Dave and Busters by storm and at each game we drew a crowd with our screaming....sure, it was probably co-workers crowding around to see if we were going to get kicked out or fired for being obnoxious. But I like to think that we hit it big and people were drawn to being around 2 big winners.

I recently bought the boys some new outfits and gave them to my sister while she was in town for the shower. Two of the shirts I bought Calen she TOTALLY hated; I love them. One is a cop shirt and the other one that he is wearing in this photo is a nerd shirt. LOVE it.

Thanksgiving Menu

Every year Pablo tries to talk me out of doing a turkey and into doing a ham for Thanksgiving. I figured this year is the year to say yes; I don't want my kids growing up thinking Thanksgiving means ham. Here is our menu for the big day:

Things Done Over the Weekend

• ran at new park with twins- Vanessa and Veronica...really like new park- has ponds/lakes, other runners, and ARMY men working out.
• printed off wedding invitations with Bre. We almost threw her printer against the wall several times, but managed to keep our emotions under control. Tommy entertained us with scary movies while we printed.
• shopped for and bought supplies to enhance my centerpieces for wedding. Bre was very patient with me and did all of the number crunching and cutting. Don't know what I would do without my MOH.
• went to SportPeppers with Pablo to watch some football and eat some wings. We have not been there in almost 4 years, so it was kind of weird going back.
• started reading new book that my mom gave me- number 4 in a wedding series. LOVE being done with my last class and being able to read for fun!

Empty House

Today everyone is now gone from the shower visit. I came home from work to an empty house. It was sad. I miss my family so much throughout the year but for some reason it is the hardest right after I get to see them. I will be counting the days until January when they will be back to visit...

"I'm Getting Married!!!" Not Today

Today was my wedding shower. I woke up shouting "I'm getting married!" to which everyone replied "not today". Whatever. They just don't get it. Today made it feel real. I am getting married. Woah. I don't think Pablo know what he signed up for.

Bre and my sister Beth threw my shower for me and it was amazing. It was an Alice in Wonderland tea party theme. Here are some shots of the tables:

Women's Half Marathon

Today I did the Women's Half Marathon- my first ever. I have signed up for them in the past and then have flaked out on actually doing them. This marathon was pretty cool- all women. I only saw 2 guys the entire time. I didn't do as well as I had hoped to, but I also didn't prepare at all for this. I hadn't been to the gym in over a month and just thought I would make it 2-3 miles. I am so proud of myself for following through and finishing....it wasn't easy. But I don't think it would mean as much to me as it does if it had been easy. I completed it with my aunt and some work friends. My aunt and I are already talking about doing another 1/2 in the spring.

Anna Weeze has arrived...

Anna Weeze arrived today. She has come to do the Women's Half Marathon with me and hang out by my pool.

Caged

My birdcage veil arrived today. I ordered it off of etsy from "Vladana" and it took the girl 2 weeks to make it. It looks really good with small little pearls within the lace. I just need to figure out how to wear my hair and if I want to add a flower or some feathers to one side.

Lanterns have arrived!

I am slowly getting everything together for our wedding in January. I ordered some chinese lanterns to be hung at the reception area and they were on back order for over 3 months. They just arrived in the mail today. As each new thing comes, it makes it more and more real that I am getting married....scary! :)

Cake Toppers

Today I got my cake toppers in the mail for the wedding. I want it to be a surprise, so I will post the photo of them after the wedding. I had peanutbutterbandit (etsy) make me (in my dress), Pablo, Moose, Max and Pecas. They are awesome. I am going to put them up in my china cabinet after the wedding for display.

Morgan Wedding

Last night we went to my work friend Liz's wedding. It was so pretty....she looked like a barbie! It has been so much fun planning my wedding around the same time that Liz was planning hers.
